About the Author
Mary Schjeldahl was trained in photography at the Parsons School of Design. Her work as appeared in galleries in New York and Vermont, and her photographs have appeared in Yankee, Orion, and the Boston Globe Magazine. She lives in Worthington, Massachusetts.Jeanne Braham has taught literature and creative writing at Allegheny College, Smith College, Hampshire College, the University of New Hampshire, and Clark University. She is the author of five books, including Crucial Conversations: Interpreting Contemporary American Literary Autobiographies by Women and Starry, Starry Night: Provincetownis Response to the AIDS Epidemic. She lives in Sunderland, Massachusetts.
