Detective Jack Lehman is a character worthy of a Clint Eastwood movie, especially when he squints and seems not to comprehend something unbelievable and the guns start blazing. Lehman is a retired detective called back to work when an anonymous phone caller tips him off to a half-million dollar heist. Only problem is, when Lehman informs his old cohorts at the prescient about the crime, he cant remember any of the details. Is it early Alzheimers setting in? Lehmans friends and family think so, and they try to reign him in. The tale unfolds like a psychological thriller, and Lehman ultimately gets his man and becomes vindicated at the end of this exciting and suspenseful book.

Synopsis
Retired Lieutenant Jack Lehman fears that he is suffering from early Alzheimer's. He insists that there has been a half-million dollar robbery, but no one else has even heard of the crime; the police and even Jack's wife and son treat it as a symptom of Jack's deterioration. And Jack can't remember the name of his telephone informant or even the identity of the victim. But he must persevere to prove there was a crime and attempt to solve it.

Seymour Shubin is the author of many novels, short stories, and nonfiction articles. He has won an Edgar Allan Poe Special Award from the Mystery Writers of America, among other literary prizes. He has also edited a true crime magazine and a magazine for psychiatrists. He lives with his wife in Pennsylvania.
