Studies relating to the broad topic of micronutrients and health in people and animals are presented in this volume, which compiles 11 chapters, a commentary, and a short communication. They range from discussions of their use in disease prevention and patient care to the use of micronu-trient supplements in pregnancy. Research on zinc, copper, manganese, and magnesium in liver cirrhosis; chronic hepatic copper accumulation in cattle; zinc deficiency in humans; and the effects of diacylgylcerol oil are other examples of the articles, which are by an international group of researchers in physiology, nuirition, obstetrics, gynecology, and other disciplines.
