About the Author
Donald I. Barker, over the last 25 years, has authored, co-authored, and contributed to 33 textbooks, on subjects ranging from Internet research and computer operating systems to expert systems development and graphics software. He pioneered the "hybrid" college textbook, combining the power of the Internet with the ease of paper to deliver the most up-to-date learning experience possible. He wrote and the first textbooks on how to use Microsoft Windows and Netscape Navigator, as well as created the original series of "how-to" texts on Windows' productivity applications. Don lives in Washington State with his wife.Katherine T. Pinard has over 20 years experience writing and editing books about computers and applications. She has co-authored or contributed to ten books published by Course Technology and has edited over 50 titles for the company, as well as numerous titles for other publishers. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and three children.
