Synopses & Reviews
Doug was born in British Columbia, Canada, and an abused child. Raised in that environment and on the street at thirteen, he has experienced many of the diverse challenges that life has to offer. His poetry is written from a heart that has experienced love, lust, hate, revenge, deceit, pride, humility, honor, spirituality, the good times, the bad times, the ugly times of life that many have experienced. In this millennium we are facing many issues, calamities, wars, rumors of wars, nations challenging nations, and generally the world as we know it is in great turmoil. Governments are aggressive, and people are possessive. This book makes reference to the millennium correlations and was written by my hand and my thoughts. I am concerned about the future of not only myself and my wife, but the future of our children and their children. What kind of a future do they face? I personally believe that all law-abiding and loving mankind deserves to live in peace and tranquility. It is not happening. Our world is shattered by a controlling, deceitful, manipulating spirit. Manipulation, control and deceit will bring us closer to the destruction of what we know as life. We only have one life to live here on earth. Would it be possible for all of us to live in peace? Hopefully this book will be inspirational to all who read it. The key to a happy, fruitful, and rewarding life is living in the positive rather than dwelling on the negative.
