Fortunately, her bruises quickly healed, and her loving parents chipped in to buy her a new set of wheels. Ann Marie has been falling off one bike or another at regular intervals ever since. (She prefers the term involuntary dismount.”)
Ann Marie hikes, camps, and bikes more than 150 days each year. She is the author of 13 books with Moon, including several outdoors titlesMoon 101 Great Hikes of the San Francisco Bay Area, Moon California Waterfalls, and Moon Northern California Bikingand is the coauthor of California Hiking with Tom Stienstra.
