Synopses & Reviews
More diabolical tales of suspense. More nerve-jangling shocks.
"The grand master of the plot twist" (Booklist) is back.... New York Times bestselling author Jeffery Deaver, who crafted first-rate thrills in the collected stories of Twisted, presents sixteen more tales -- including an all-new Lincoln Rhyme entry -- spawned from his darkly brilliant imagination. From a stressed-out commuter to a death-row inmate, Deaver's characters are never what they seem -- and every jaw-dropping curveball he delivers is nothing less than "ingeniously devious" (People).
Review
"Every one of these gems includes at least one act of narrative sleight of hand: sometimes it's a subtle shift in direction, but more often it's a neck-wrenching, right-angle turn." Booklist
Review
"More Twisted, Jeffery Deaver's second montage of quick-hit, CSI-style tales, is both formulaic and creative." Entertainment Weekly
Review
"Common to [each story] is at least one twist that I, even paying close attention, usually didn’t see coming....Also common...was an annoyingly long explanation of how the twist had played out...." TheBookish.com
