About the Author
Fred Newman has created voices and sounds for dozens of movies including Gremlins I and II, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Practical Magic. He has received two Emmy nominations for his work on PBS's Between the Lions and tours regularly with Garrison Keillor on NPR, providing improvised sound effects for A Prairie Home Companion. He lives in Connecticut and New York City.
