Very professional, authoritative and definitive on the plants it covers. Thoroughly covers all aspects including identification, which is paramount on the subject of wild food gathering. Primarily intended for the upper Midwest and Northeastern states, the information still applies wherever these plants are found. Well written; very readable as well as entertaining. The folksy style of the author leaves one feeling like one has just visited with a friend who happens to know everything about his subject.
