Carole Stott was formerly a professional astronomer and is now a full-time science writer. Known for her ability to demystify the secrets of the cosmos, Carole Stott has written more than 20 books and a CD-ROM, the Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Space and the Universe, published by DK Interactive Learning, and contributed to numerous encyclopedias, dictionaries, and science publications. As a professional astronomer at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, UK, first as Curator of Astronomy and alter as Head of Observatory, Carole Stott has worked with astronomers and space enthusiasts of all ages and levels of interest. She continues to run astronomy and space workshops, a role she combines with writing and family life.
