Synopsis
Brigham Madsen examines four distinct groups which comprise the Northern Shoshoni.
The book focuses on the Shoshoni since the arrival of the first white settlers. It describes the early days on the reservation and the struggle of these proud people to adapt to the massive cultural changes that have occurred during the past 150 years.
About the Author
Brigham Madsen, a former University of Utah history professor, spent many years studying the history and culture of the various branches of the Shoshoni nation. He has published several books about the Shoshoni tribes, including The Lemhi: Sacajawea's People also published by Caxton Press.
