Elisha Goldstein, PhD, is in private practice in west Los Angeles. He is the cofounder of The Mindfulness Center for Psychotherapy and Psychiatryandlt;iandgt; andlt;/iandgt;and is the author of andlt;iandgt;The Now Effect andlt;/iandgt;and andlt;iandgt;Uncovering Happinessandlt;/iandgt;,andlt;iandgt; andlt;/iandgt;and the coauthor of andlt;iandgt;A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook.andlt;/iandgt; He runs mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy programs focusing on helping people not to relapse into depression. He has learned through his own practice and from the practice of his clients the powerful, essential anti-depressant elements that had never before been explicitly integrated into the current mindfulness-based therapies for people with depression. He lives in Santa Monica, California.
