About the Author
L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) is author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and over a dozen other Oz series books. The Oscar-winning 1939 MGM movie musical starring Judy Garland made Baum’s story of Dorothy’s trip to the land of Oz an American favorite. Greg Hildebrandt is a well-known children’s book illustrator. He lives in New Jersey.
