This committee was appointed March 24, 1915, and in the course of its work has held eight meetings. Sev eral of these meetings were wholly devoted to the irk some task of rating and classifying papers, and defining their merits and defects. Whatever value this report has is due largely to the work of this committee of enthusiastic, capable and effective teachers of penman ship.
