About the Author
Sally Gregson earned a National Certificate of Horticulture (Distinction) in Nursery Practice from Hadlow College in Kent and worked as a plant propagator before opening her nursery, Mill Cottage Plants in Somerset, where she specializes in hydrangeas and epimediums. The nursery regularly exhibits at local flower shows, the RHS Wisley Flower Shows, the National Amateur Gardening Show at Shepton Mallet, and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Sally lectures throughout the British Isles and Europe on a wide range of horticultural topics. She writes a regular column in Country Gardening magazine and in The Landsman, as well as articles for various horticultural magazines. She is author of two previous books, Practical Propagation and Ornamental Vegetable Gardening. Sally is a member of the Garden Media Guild, the Royal Horticultural Society, the Hardy Plant Society, and the Japanese Garden Society. Her 2½-acre garden is enjoyed by more than five hundred visitors welcomed each year under the National Gardens Scheme.
