Rowley Carter was born in Thurlestone, England. His publishing career included time at Hutchinson, Eel Pie Publishing and Blackie, in the UK before setting up as a packager in 1983 and as a publisher in 1998. Rowley is married to a Hawaiian American, Noe, and has two children. He has written many books for children, and is published in many different countries all over the world. He lives in Texas.
Moira Kemp was born in Kingston, England in 1956. She studied history at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, before going on to Camberwell School of Art in 1977. Over four million copies of her books have been sold world-wide. Other books of hers distributed by Consortium include The Midnight Ship and the Peepbo Board Books.
