About the Author
Stella Harding has been making baskets since 2001. Growing, gathering and making in an urban context, without a garden of one's own, is a passion she is keen to share with others. Stella has exhibited her basketry widely across Europe, and most recently at the Barbican LIbrary and Metre Square Gallery in London. She also writes for the journal of the Mediterranean Garden Society. Her ambition is to make an inner city 'Basketry Garden'; a communal resource for growing and making. Shane Waltener is an urban designer and maker who works with a variety of mixed media and constructs installations as well as featuring work at various craft shows. He recently held a hybrid basketry exhibition at Origin.
