About the Author
Ralph Compton was the bestselling author of the acclaimed Gunfighter and Sundown Rider series for NAL. He had worked as a musician, a radio announcer, a songwriter, and a newspaper columnist. His first novel, The Goodnight Trail, was a finalist for the WWA Medicine Pipe Bearer's Award for best debut novel. Though he passed away in 1999, his books continue to thrill new generations of Western readers.
