About the Author
Marion Dane Bauer was born in Oglesby, Illinois River Valley. After graduating form a local junior college, she attended the University of Missouri and studied journalism. Ms. Bauer is active in the Minneapolis children's book community and teaches fiction writing to young adults. On My Honor was named a Newbery Honor Book in 1987. Ms. Bauer is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and has two grown children, a son and a daughter. She lives in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
