Jack Kerouac (1922-1969) was a principal actor in the Beat Generation, and a companion of Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassady in that great adventure. His books include On the Road, The Dharma Bums, Mexico City Blues, Lonesome Traveler, Visions of Cody, Pomes All Sizes (City Lights) and Scripture of the Golden Eternity (City Lights).
Synopsis
Poetry. Jack Kerouac does not always receive credit as one of the great American poets of the twentieth-century, but SCATTERED POEMS helps show the great range he possessed across genres. This book includes "Pull My Daisy," written with Allen Ginsberg and Neal Cassady. Some of these poems are lighthearted, while others deal with mortality, both his mother's and his own. A small classic.
