Synopses & Reviews
The only published children's book from Angela Carter which was one of Bloomsbury Children's bestsellers for last year in hardback. The story is set on the sea bed and features the relationship between a young sea-cat and his devoted mother. B/w illustrations by Eva Tatcheva throughout.
Sea-Cat lives at the bottom of the sea with his mother. In order to keep him warm and dry, Mother Cat knits Sea-Cat the most beautiful clothes. He soon comes to the attention of the rather grim, grey Dragon King, who wants to be as beautiful as Sea-Cat. A marvellous compromise is achieved.
