Civil Society has become a major power in the world. Nicanor Perlas is President of the Philippines Center for Alternative Development Initiatives (CADI). About the Author
Nicanor Perlas is President of the Center for Alternative Development Initiatives (CADI) based in Metro Manila, Philippines. He was awarded the U.N. Environment Program Global. 500 Award for Sustainable Agriculture and The Outstanding Filipino Award for his advocacy work on issues of globalization, sustainable national development, and sustainable integrated area development in rural areas. The author of seven books and over 100 articles, he is frequently a plenary speaker and resource person at international conferences.
