About the Author
Julie Kerr Gines is an earth scientist and an environmentalist who has worked for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management promoting healthy land stewardship, green-living skills, and conservation techniques for 34 years. She is author of more than 23 books, most on environmental topics, and is the recipient of the 2007 Honor Book in Science award for her work on renewable energy resources. She lives in Wanship, Utah.
