The energy of stone springs from its infinite simplicity and variety. From sandstone to shale, granite to quartz, stones are timeless, uniquely appealing, reassuringly weighty and dense. They bear witness to myriad geological wonders, harboring records of early civilizations and preserving traces of organisms long past. Stones speak to us on a primal level, freely sharing their subtle energies and endlessly varied textures and colors. They're enigmatic, mysterious, compelling. When we work with stones, incorporating them into our living spaces, we celebrate their uniqueness.
Stone complements the home. Stone Style offers dozens of design ideas and step-by-step projects, most of which require only basic tools and materials to complete. As a conductor of heat, both literally and visually, stone warms a room while imparting an earthly ruggedness that harmonizes with surrounding textures.
