About the Author
JOSEPH PROVEY is the former editor-in-chief of Family Handyman, Mechanix Illustrated/Home Mechanix, and Practical Homeowner magazines. He has authored several home improvement books, including the Creative Homeowner titles Outdoor Kitchens, Toro Expert Guide to Lawns, and Design Ideas for Flooring, as well as many articles for national home and garden magazines. Provey began his career as a carpenter and now lives in Bridgeport, CT.
