About the Author
Simms Taback won a Caldecott Honor Award for There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly and the Caldecott Medal for Joseph Had a Little Overcoat, of which The Horn Book wrote, "The art sings with color and movement and humor and personality." He has also produced award-winning titles for Blue Apple, such as Peek-a-Boo, Who? (a 2006 Scholastic Parent & Child Best Book of the Year) and Simms Taback's Big Book of Words (a 2004 Child Best Book of the Year, 2004 Parenting Book of the Year Award winner, and a 2004 Parents' Choice Gold Award winner). The author lives in California.
Harriet Ziefert is the author of more than 200 children's books. The mother of two and the grandmother of five, she lives in South Orange, New Jersey.
