Synopses & Reviews
Adopting a UML object-oriented approach, this book not only teaches IT professionals the basic skills of systems analysis and design (SAD), but shows them how to put these skills into practice. Each chapter describes one part of the SAD process with clear explanations of what it is and how to implement it. The third edition includes new running case studies that build upon the concepts and explain how they are applied. Additional examples are used to improve comprehension and updated information is presented on the software tools available in the field. This book will help IT professionals acquire the core set of skills that all analysts must possess.
Synopsis
Putting concepts into action, this book will help readers acquire the core skills needed to actually perform systems analysis and design. It provides a highly practical, hands-on approach to SAD using UML as it guides them through each part of the SAD process. They'll find clear explanations of what SAD is and how to implement it, along with detailed examples and exercises that allow them to practice what they've learned.
Synopsis
You can’t truly understand Systems Analysis and Design (SAD) by only reading about it; you have to do it. In Systems Analysis and Design, Third Edition, Dennis, Wixom, and Roth offer a hands-on approach to actually doing SAD. Building on their experience as professional systems analysts and award-winning teachers, these three authors capture the experience of actually developing and analyzing systems. They focus on the core set of skills that all analysts must possess––from gathering requirements and modeling business needs, to creating blueprints for how the system should be built.
