About the Author
Heather Goodwin studied German language growing up in German schools and also in undergraduate work at Yale University. She is since entered law school and will graduate by the time this book is published. She helped immensely in translations --- English to German and German to English -- throughout the book. Larry Hawthorne is a writer and journalist who has spent most of the past 35 years living, working, and traveling in Europe. He's lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for some 16 years, but has relocated to the Las Vegas area of Nevada. He's written a series of articles on German beer and culture and is a frequent contributor to Beer Connoisseur the magazine. Eliska Jezkova grew up in the Czech republic and maintains many Germanic traditions she has learned through her family since childhood. She took many of the photos in the book and helped research numerous beer gardens, beer halls and beer restaurants in Munich.
