The complete digital photographic data from the National Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project is compressed to fit onto two CD discs, one each for the male and female. Images can be viewed as frontal and transversal cross-sections via an easy to use interface. Both discs can be run directly from the CD player requiring no copying to the hard drive.

The highly publicized Visible Human Project, undertaken by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, resulted in the creation of the most detailed, digitized cross-section images of the human male and female body--with 1,878 cross-sections of the male body and 5,189 sections of the female body. System requirements for Windows: Pentium or better processor ; 16MB RAM (min), 24MB or more recommended ; CD-ROM drive ; MS Windows 95 or Windows NT ; monitor resolution of 800x600 pixels and 256 colors (min). System requirements for Macintosh: PowerPC processor ; 24MB RAM (min) free memory including virtual memory of at least 24MB ; CD-ROM drive ; System 7.x or higher (with virtual memory, System 7.6 or higher recommended).

Two discs, each containing digital human data from the Visible Human Project. The CD with the Visible Man has 22 different frontal views and 1878 transverse cross sections. The Visible Woman has 13 frontal views and 5189 cross-sections. Transverse cross-sections are decompressed and viewed as high resolution images.
