Synopsis
A thrilling suspense novel that introduces New Scotland Yard's InspectorJack Oxby of the Art and Antiquities Squad and pits him against a mastermindof art forgery.
When an original Leonardo da Vinci folio goes missing from the Royal Libraryat Windsor Castle, Oxby is brought in to investigate. Traveling from Londonto New York and Lake Como, the detective eventually uncovers a daring artforger who blackmails artists into faking Leonardo da Vinci manuscripts,including early sketches of the Mona Lisa.
About the Author
Thomas Swan has chosen the sometimes bizarre and frequently surprising world of art as the backdrop for his thrillers, and is the author of The Da Vinci Deception and The CÉzanne Chase. He has served as secretary and member of the board of the Mystery Writers of America, and is a past president of the New York chapter of MWA. Having retired from a thirty-plus-year career in the field of advertising and marketing, Swan now writes full time, and lives with his wife, Barbara, in Short Hills, New Jersey.
