Synopsis
The Holler is a valley in the remote backwoods of Kentucky. The people who go in don't come out.
Identical twins, Bodkin and Dirk, have been warned firmly and repeatedly not to venture into the evil place. If they do, they are likely to be tormented, body and soul, for eternity. However, their need to know the truth outweighs caution and common sense. The flip of a coin will determine which sibling has "the honor" of descending into the dark and smelly depression in the earth and to confront its demons. The brother who loses the coin toss will be doomed to an ordinary life, taking care of his aging mother. Everything changes, though, when a severe electrical storm leads to events that will take one twin on an adventure spanning centuries and realities.
This tale is more modern folklore and fantasy, than horror. It's packed with moments of panic and fear, but it's also full of humor. Mostly, though, it's a story of family, love, romance, relationships, and sacrifice.
