Review
"Part hide-and-seek game, part dictionary, Wilbur's exuberant text playfully demonstrates how smaller words are found within larger ones....[T]he majority of the jaunty rhymes scan well and will encourage readers young and old to be on the lookout for similar types of wordplay. Siebold injects an extra dose of fun into his computer-generated scenes with a stylized wackiness and attention to detail." Publishers Weekly
Review
"Punsters, poets, and reluctant readers will love this book that is filled with play on words....J. Otto Seibold's wonderful illustrations also have hidden delights....Older kids and adult wordsmiths will no doubt be inspired to create their own playful poems. Young readers will delight at the small words hiding in big ones." Julie Steinberg, Children's Literature
Review
"Unfortunately, stellar achievements as a poet for adults don't always translate into winning children's poetry....Some of the poems are simple and witty; some are almost boring or include words unfamiliar to primary-grade children....Siebold almost saves the book with his gloriously wacky illustrations, including his own additions of puns both visual and literary." Kirkus Reviews
Review
"Wilbur once again has fun with rhymes, puns, and wordplay....J. Otto Seibold's computer-generated cartoon art picks up the outlandish connections and runs with them; in fact, the frantic pictures are sometimes distracting. For an older audience this could be a start for crossword puzzle games, where letters relate in surprising ways." Hazel Rochman, Booklist
Review
"The apparent simplicity of the verses is deceiving. A certain level of sophistication is needed in order for readers to comprehend the wry humor and some of the vocabulary in the 2-to-10 liners....The visual jokes are as clever as the verbal ones. These nonsensical puns could be used to inspire creativity in the classroom." School Library Journal
