About the Author
Sam Crowell, EdD, is an associate professor of education at California State University–San Bernardino and a director at the Center for Research in Integrative Learning and Teaching. He has been an elementary teacher, a principal, and an administrator. He resides in Idyllwild, California. Renate Nummela Caine, PhD, is a professor emeritus of education at California State University–San Bernardino and a director at the Center for Research in Integrative Learning and Teaching. Geoffrey Caine, LLM, is an educational and learning consultant specializing in the theory and practice of brain-based learning and teaching. He is an adjunct member of the faculty at the Whitehead Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Redlands. Geoffrey and Renate reside in Idyllwild, California.
