Synopses & Reviews
Poetry. THE RUST LIFE is Jack Crimmins' second collection of poetry. It's a book-length poem wherein the narrative is disassembled yet a thread remains. And each page holds its own intent and density as in a serial poem. "gone tropical / erase traces / the landscape recedes / hidden inside clouds of heaven / night offers television / electric rivers the world is sold / rescue fields within hypnosis / rock formation / a single oak." As writer Lynn V. Andrews has written, "Crimmins' poems change you." Crimmins' first book, KIT FOX BLUES, was published by Diane di Prima's press and is available from SPD. Earthworm Press and Projects has also published a chapbook of Crimmins' collage poems, Time has Razors.Jack Crimmins lives north of San Francisco and works as a licensed psychotherapist.
