Hottl was Adolf Eichmann's confidant and an important member of the Nazi party's foreign espionage section. He was the first person to tell Allied interrogators that Eichmann boasted of having killed 4 million Jews in the concentration camps, plus 2 million more through "other means." Wilhelm Höttl was born in Vienna, Austria. He joined the Hitler Youth when he was 16 and at age 19 he joined the Nazi Party. At the end of the war, Hottl saved his own life by serving as intermediary between Allen Dulles and the SS during the German surre
