About the Author
wrote more than one thousand popular songs. He served as the president of the British Academy of Songwriters, won two Ivor Novello awards, and was awarded the Order of the British Empire. He died in 1984.
Michael Hague has illustrated some of the best-loved works of children's literature, including The Velveteen Rabbit, The Wizard of Oz, and The Wind in the Willows. He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife, Kathleen.
