Synopsis
Excerpt from The Villager's Daughter
Her name was Mary. She was one of nine children, whom her father had to support by very scanty means. To many who knew them it was matter of astonishment how they did to live. But "better is little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure and trouble therewith." The fear of the Lord and his blessing made them happier than people in general would suppose possible in their circumstances.
