About the Author
Dr. Ken Canfield is a research scholar who founded the National Center for Fathering as a virtual training center to equip fathers and father figures. His work has won national acclaim and he has appeared on NBC's Today Show, ABC's World News Tonight, Focus on the Family and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Canfield's fathering-related articles have appeared in numerous periodicals (both scientific and popular). He earned his B.A. from Friends University, an M.C.S. from University of British Columbia-Regent College, and a PhD from Kansas State University. Ken and his wife, Dee, have been married twenty-nine years. They have five children and reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
