Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I picked this up to read on my vacation--and stayed up reading till 4 a.m. two nights in a row! I could not put it down. The writing is crisp, the characters are compelling, and the tension she creates down in the Louisiana Bayou makes you want to get up and check the locks on all the doors and windows every half hour. I know a lot of readers will laugh at how late I am in discovering her, but I'm Tami Hoag's newest big fan!
