In this exploration of environmentalism in Third World countries, the contributors argue that Third World countries need to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation in order to protect their valuable resources, and to gain greater access to foreign markets. The book examines several strategies and policies in detail, and suggests constructive and concrete proposals which will aid countries in identifying and pursuing its interests in future trade negotiations.
