Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife — between desire and danger.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Review

"[T]he portrayal of dangerous lovers hits the spot; fans of dark romance will find it hard to resist." Kirkus Reviews

Review

"Meyer's description of the lovers' emotions is palpable, and readers will be drawn into the couple's spiraling dance, feeling the intense longing that comes from being a hair's breadth away from the thing you want most in the world." KLIATT

Review

"Realistic, subtle, succinct, and easy to follow, Twilight will have readers dying to sink their teeth into it." School Library Journal

Review

"[T]his dark romance seeps into the soul." Booklist

Review

"For older teens, this is a predictable love story laced with adventure and vampirism." Hornbook Guide to Children

Review

"Twilight is fantastic. It’s a page-turner that pops out a lurching, frightening ending I never saw coming. It’s also the first book that seemed at long last to rekindle something of the girl-reader in me. In fact, there were times when the novel — no work of literature, to be sure, no school for style; hugged mainly to the slender chests of very young teenage girls, whose regard for it is on a par with the regard with which just yesterday they held Hannah Montana — stirred something in me so long forgotten that I felt embarrassed by it." Caitlin Flanagan, The Atlantic Monthly (read the entire Atlantic Monthly review)

Synopsis

As Shakespeare knew, love burns high when thwarted by obstacles. In Twilight, an exquisite fantasy by Stephenie Meyer, readers discover a pair of lovers who are supremely star-crossed. Bella adores beautiful Edward, and he returns her love. But Edward is having a hard time controlling the blood lust she arouses in him, because... he's a vampire. At any moment, the intensity of their passion could drive him to kill her, and he agonises over the danger. But, Bella would rather be dead than part from Edward, so she risks her life to stay near him, and the novel burns with the erotic tension of their dangerous and necessarily chaste relationship.

Synopsis

The third book in the phenomenal New York Times bestselling series is now in paperback!

Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping her brother, Ansel, safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.

Some of my friends read this series and encouraged me to read it besides my doubts. I tried as much as I could to get interested in the book, but I got bored very easily and found myself staring at the books I had wanted to read. Honestly, I tried to read Twilight, but the story created no spark in me. I see why people like the book since it holds an exceeding amount of romance with a love triangle between a werewolf, vampire, and a human.

I love this! It was very enticing. I had seen the moving and I thought if the movie this good how is the book. I took crack at it and finished it too quick. I reread this story every time I can, because I love. My favorite series. I still haven't read the middle two. I cant seem to get them. I don't have the money or none of my libraries hold them which kind of suck, but any who. Yeah this book is just too great.

The movie give this book no justice what so ever. This story was amazing before it became a world wide obession. I mean, I didn't hear about it until seventh grade when my friend lent me the book. The forbidden love between Edward and Bella is what caught me. The strong passion Edward held for Bella, no matter the dangers. It may not be a tradtional vampire story, but it will still captivate the mind. The lust, the love, the passion, the dangers. The day ends, with twilight upon us. Will you be near after the sun has set? ~"But you see, just because we've been...dealt a certain hand... it doesn't mean that we can't choose to rise above-to conquer the boundries of a destiny that none of us wanted."~ Edward to Bella - Twilight

I am not a die hard Twilight fan. I do not hold to either Edward or Jacob teams. I read Twilight before it grew into an empire. I have heard and often seen for myself the grammar errors and other English teacher's complaints against Twilight. However, if these are the measures we reject books then it is a very shallow measuring stick. Twilight holds it's own beauty and appeal. " 'Isabella,' He pronounced my full name carefully, then playfully ruffled my hair with his free hand. A shock ran through my body at his casual touch. 'Bella, I couldn't live with myself if I ever hurt you. You don't know how it's tortured me.' He looked down, ashamed again. 'The thought of you, still, white,cold..to never see you blush scarlet again, to never see that flash of intuition in your eyes when you see through my pretenses...it would be unendurable." This is a part of Edward's confession of love to Bella. It is simple but the "earthy" tone of it makes it all the more touching and sincere. I do not suggest Twilight for those who are vampire fans. Twilight does not keep to traditional vampire roles and nor do I think that it must. Twilight, for me, is not about the vampires or the werewolves. It is about the love story between Edward and Bella. I can relate to Bella on many different levels and so I sympathize with her as she falls in love. This is what I suggest, that you pick up this book and travel back to High School. Surely, I was not the only one that sat back and observed people. Bella observes and enjoys a good mystery thus her obsession and later love for Edward. Read Twilight for love and not for vampires.

Over-rated romantic trash. Mixing vampires and raging puberty is a marketing dream but I was sickened by the high school level writing and long bouts of exposition. This is a really, really bad book that made it's author oodles of money. That's really sad. I imagine the movies are worse. If you haven't already read it, avoid this one like fresh roadkill.

Hahaha! Many people really, REALLY, love the Twilight Series. When I first read it, I was like, "What a selfish ***." But then, it gets more, and more interesting. Yes, the writers way of writing it is kind of crappy and stuff, but not all writers are great. Right after reading the third book, there was only one thing, that I want to know: What would their child be like? Of course, I seen two of the Twilight saga movies so far, but what I really, really want to see, is Edward and Bella's child. I don't care if Edward dies. I don't care if Bella went and got plastic surgery. All I want to know and see is how their child turned out like. Overall, this series, I believe its ok. If you just like to read, then this book is good to read out of boredom. I read it becuase I like to imagine. And I like fantasies like vampires and wolves and all sorts of stuff.

This book was really really bad. Aside from the grammatical errors, the characters are very Mary-Sue and it's obvious that Bella Swan (Literally Beautiful Swan ew) is a self-insertion of the author. The book promotes unhealthy relationships. Bella is clingy and whinny. Not to mention that she lets Edward control her and he is borderline mentally abusive. Edward stalks her and breaks into her house and watches her sleep, um Breaking and entering is illegal. He's over 100 and she is 17, he's a creepy pedophile. I would not let my daughter read this book. Girls need to learn what a healthy relationship is and is not Twilight.

I'd heard about the books after I saw a preview for the upcoming movie. The movie looked interesting but I was unsure if I wanted to read the books. Sometimes I feel silly carrying around the latest "it" book simply because it is the latest "it" book. I happened to be wandering the mall one day when I saw Walden's Books offering a Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal. The sign was stuck right on top of the Twilight display. To be honest, I definitely judge books by their covers. Unless I already know about the author, usually I will pick up a book new to me because of the cover. Man, I have to say, I LOVE the Twilight Saga covers. Those are some of the prettiest covers I've seen. As you've probably noticed from my blog, I'm big into black with sharp, punctuated points of color. In the blog's instance I allow the book covers to serve as the majority of the color because they are well deserving of the eye's attention. The Twilight Saga is gorgeous, in my opinion because of the simple, symbolic covers. As many have come to realize, the cover of Twilight is symbolic of the forbidden fruit. Twilight is the story of Isabella (Bella) Swan and a young man with ancient eyes, Edward Cullen. Bella is an awkward teenager, coming to live with her father in Western Washington in order to allow her eccentric mother the freedom to follow her new husband and his struggling baseball career. Bella isn't a huge fan of Forks, Washington until she meets a mysterious boy, one whose actions can't be explained through any normal logic. Twilight is the story of Bella, Edward and their blossoming romance. I find the romance in it to be spectacular! It is a young adult book, so when I say "romance," I mean in the tamest form. Full of action, suspense and that inescapable sticky sweet love story, Twilight is sure to please any teenage girl's imagination. I'm not an expert on the male mind, but I've been reading this book to my husband in the car and he even likes the story - so perhaps this one is good for all genders and all ages! Unlike some stories designed to continue past the first book, Twilight is perfect in that the end leaves the reader content. Yes, there is the note that more is to come, but the end is an end, giving us some much needed closure. I love books that do that! I definitely give Twilight a solid A. As silly as it sounds coming from a grown woman, I do believe that Twilight has become one of my new favorite books. It's definitely one that I would like to have with me on one of those rainy afternoons, curled up in a chair with my favorite blanket.

First in a series of four volumes, Twilight centers on 17-year-old Bella Swan’s romance with Edward Cullen, a young man so attractive he could be a living, breathing Abercrombie and Fitch advertisement. Edward, it turns out, became a vampire in 1918 and lives with an adopted family of vampires who cultivate an alternative bloodsucking lifestyle by refusing to feed on human beings and living amongst them as peers. Meyer’s writing style for Twilight resembles a cross between a teen diarist’s blow-by-blow of the travails and triumphs of high school and family life, and a bodice ripper updated to the 21st century’s habit of hiply self-aware quipping. Twilight’s protagonist and central characters read like stereotypes of people rather than unique individuals... Read more: http//tiny.cc/nvKeh

I didn't want to like it. I cringed at all of the adverbs bookending the dialogue. I wondered what all the hoopla was about. I nodded off early on. I don't know why I continued. And then, a fifth of the way through, it began to suck me in. I wanted to know how all of this was going play out. I like Bella. And I felt myself drawn to Edward the same way I, as a young woman, was drawn to Heathcliff and to Mr. Rochester. I am not rating this as brilliant literature. But as a reader who loves being pulled into a story, I have to give this high marks, especially when I remind myself of the audience for which I assume it is intended. I felt downright giddy with pleasure reading it and am devouring the rest of the saga. For the youthful, romantic feelings Twilight brought out of this middle-aged reader, for the longing it reminded her of - the longing followed by the heady bliss of returned love - for these things alone I have to highly recommend this book.

This was by far my favorite book I have read this decade. I am a full grown adult and I could not help but be sucked in by this love story. I found myself addicted to the plot and hung on every word Stephenie Meyer wrote. It is a one of a kind story that will make you dream about vampires for months and I highly recommend all four books in the saga!

This was a wonderful story and excellent for the novice reader. Although this is not the most intellectual book of the decade, it did get me interested in reading. The story was very good and addictive. It really opened the doors to many other authors that I fell in love with. Thanks to Twilight I am an avid reader. I typically go through 3 books a week.

This book (and the ones that followed) quickly captured my imagination and transported me to a different world. I enjoyed getting to know the people, vampires and werewolves of Forks WA. I look for books that allow me to escape my reality and spend some time in a different time/place. Stephenie Meyer is a talanted author and I look forward to whatever new tale she writes next. Books beat movies every time.

A very enjoyable, gripping read. Every teenage girl dreams of finding a love completely unique and magical, and Bella Swan does just that when she falls in love with a vegetarian vampire. This book started a movement all throughout the world, of teenage girls dropping prince charming and beginning their search for Edward Cullen. Twilight has made the biggest impact on young readers everywhere since Harry Potter.

When considering the"best book" I have read over the past decade...many great novels come to mind including but not limited to: The Lovely Bones, The Historian, The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials), The Looking Glass Wars, Blood Red Horse and dozens more. As I constantly tell my 6th grade students, it is very, very difficult for me to choose a favorite book, because I have SO many favorites. In order to make the process easier, I asked myself - What one book have I read that I absolutely could NOT put down? Twilight immediately came to mind. It is extremely engaging, engrossing and fantastical...a page turner, for sure. Meyer is successful in the creation of vivid characters and imagery, and easily pulls readers into the minds, hearts, and worlds of Bella and Edward, and those around them. Though I do not think this is the best piece of literature written in the past decade, it is certainly captivating, addictive, and entertaining. (My only regret is that Ms. Meyer agreed to make this novel into a teen movie - or into a movie at all! Best is better left alone.)

My driver's license says that I am "WELL" over the age of 14, yet, I found this book to be so enchanting I couldn't put it down. It took me less than 24 hours to read it. Then I the other 3 books in the series in about 9 days (and I have a full time job!. Then I watched the movie. Then I read "Midnight Sun", the unfinished version of Edward's side of the story. The I re-read the book. And watched the movie again. Then I saw New Moon. Ummm...I'm thinking I'm a TwiHard...and I don't know why, except to say that for pure escapism Meyer did a great job. There is probably a message in there somewhere, but I have no idea where, nor do I care. I enjoyed the books for what they are...entertainment!

I read it so fast and then the next two and now I've read the first three twice just like that without hardly coming up for air. Yes, it has problems. The prose can be noticeably rough, and there's one glaring gap in the logic, plus some of the explanations of things leave something to be desired. But none of this changes the fact that Meyer can definitely tell a story. It's sharp; the characters are captivating and complex; the action is gripping and this first novel of the set does a brilliant job of pulling the reader in, making us want to know what happens next.

I am ashamed to admit that I really enjoyed this. In repentance, I will write a lesson plan that offers a critique of its gender relations. Still, I can't deny that it is appealingly written and has a compelling erotic undertone. This is, of course, disturbing in conjunction with the characters' behaviors, which oddly enough both replicate the cycle of interpersonal violence and yet, in its extended metaphor of humanity-as-virginity, shows the male vampire to be more moral and scrupulous than the young woman. In this I agree with Edward's assessment that Bella does not prioritize her own well-being. After a few thousand pages of sequels, I might well tire of the narrator's petulance and the vampire's handsome, godlike attributes, as well as the ways in which the vampires consistently take control away from Bella. However, there's a lot that's funny and interesting, which goes a long way. There are a variety of not-too-important issues (for example, there's no evidence that Bella was clumsy prior to moving to Forks), but it still hangs together pretty well and should serve as mildly salacious beach reading.

No. Just, no. I don't mean to sound like one of those cliche Twilight/Stephenie Meyer haters, but I entirely did not enjoy this book. First of all, characters. No one, NO ONE, has a "face of perfection," or whatever Edward Cullen had. Plus, him having no visual flaws just makes him more boring of a character. And... Bella Swan. I mean, really, how many leading male characters were "in love with her"? Three? Four? If you read the credits in the back of Breaking Dawn (I think it was), Meyer says she borrowed some of the characters' names from her siblings. It's not that hard to come up with your own character names. I'm sorry, but I just could not enjoy this book.

I absolutely love this book. It captures everything that should be in a Young Adult novel. What would you do if you were inlove with a person and that person was a vampire? But Bella Swan was not terrified of this idea; Instead made her more drawn to him. <3>

The Twilight saga has - being completely honest - drawn me in entirely and inexplicably. At first I was one of those people who practically looked down upon those who would conform to such - well what i pre-considered to be- brainwash. Haha retrospectively, i know now that I could never have been more wrong. It took me a crapy Twilight movie to get me to pick up the first book. You might ask that if I thought the Twilight movie was such crap, why did I decide to read it? Well, I guess secretly, in the far corners of my mind, the sappy love-crazed girl came out; one that absolutely thirsted for romance. Today I am absolutely enthralled in the books (currently on Chapter 7 of Breaking Dawn). It was was most mind boggling thing when I began to "aww" out loud at Edward's sweetest gestures and before i knew it, I was squealing and laughing (my mom came in my room thinking I was watching a movie). These books (although the writing is FAR from exceptional) are addicting beyond belief. I read Eclipse in one night simply because I physically could NOT put it down. Although I will never admit it to my friends, I am OBSESSED with these books. Anyone who says otherwise, is either one; a complete liar or two; is not one for romance. For anyone who is scared to pick up the book because of its size, don't worry! Yes they look very intimidating at first but the FLY by - I promise you (I am quite a slow reader too!). And soon enough you'll be upset at how fast they go. I know I am. I just want to hold on to the wonderful stories a little while longer... <3 ally.="">

In my opinion, Twilight is an amazing book for young adults and fully grown adults might want to take a "bite" in this adventurous first novel of the saga, too! It is full of romance, adventure, and mystery to find more about the characters and the plot which can hardly ever make you want to put the book down. This book makes you stay alive and thirsty for the REST of the Twilight Saga. It relates us to how life is like in our teenage years no matter if we are past our teenage years, still in our teenage years, or maybe not even at the teenage years yet, but this book will keep us reading non-stop. It partly teaches us a lesson where you can still be in love with someone even if they aren't human like a vampire! This book is just fantastic! People that don't like reading would start like reading after reading this book. A thumbs up for Twilight!

Great story about first love and it's many struggles...especially if you are in love with a vampire! Stephanie Meyer is a great storyteller and makes her characters not only likeable, but realistic (if you can say that about vampires). You will fall in love with Edward and the rest of the characters in this book right away. More then worth a read...it's worth ready over and over again!

I just finish reading all four books..They are absolutely amazing..It only took me a week to finish all of them. Every chance I got I read, it was so hard to put the books down. The fourth book was my favorite..Stephanie Meyer did an awesome job!! These books are by far my favorite one's that I've ever read and I've read a lot of books, eventhough they are meant for young readers, I still enjoyed everybit of it! I hope the movie will do Twilight justice!

Although I was hesitant to read Twilight, since it seemed to be a favorite with young teens and was about vampires, I am so incredibly glad that I did. Meyer has such talent with writing emotions and enabling her readers to experience those emotions with her characters. I have now read and re-read Twilight and the rest of the series several times, as well as Meyer's other works, and am eagerly awaiting her next.

Stephanie Meyer is the best new author I have read. She is also the best author I have read. I am a reader, and I have read over 1000 books, so I don't give that compliment lightly. Thanks to her, I was inspired to pick up the pen again, after a long bout of depression. Her tales have gotten some of my non-reader friends into reading books. Somehow, once you start, you can't put the book down. Her words pull you along until you are hopelessly lost in it. When the final page turns, you are thirsty for more. She leaves you waiting for her next work when, after only five days, you have read all she has published. If anyone is hesitant about picking this book up, don't. It may be marketed at young adult romance, but it truly universal, in a way Harry Potter could never be. If anyone is hesitant because they don't want anything to be better than J.K. Rowling, I say open your eyes to a world that is better developed, and better written than Rowling's world of boy wizards. I have never met a single person who, after reading Twilight, said they didn't like it. If it were possible, I would give these books six stars, as they are above and beyond anything else.

Very hot vampire moments. I read this aloud w/ my friends. At first I lied that I read this book-it looked boring and I don't read much fantasy un-less more people say it's awesome, there's a romance in it or if there are vampires. Then when I was at Powell's and I didn't know what to get-I saw Twilight, sitting there on the Best Recommended Books cart a girl was rolling. I picked it up and I couldn't put it down! I love this book and I'm looking forward to my next visit to Powell's to get the second book!

"and the lion fell in love with the lamb" ...and the lamb the lion. For those who have not read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer I urge you to stop reading this review and purchase it immediately. Then come back and finish the review! I'd never heard of Twilight until a dear friend's daughter, Hannah, asked me if I'd read it. She described the book to me and she was boundless with enthusiasm. I will admit that I was leary of reading it as it is deemed a "teen" novel and I of course am definitely not a teen but I ordered the book any way and was overjoyed when it arrived. First - it was a much longer book than I anticipated. This fact made me immensely happy. I began reading that night and only got to chapter two. Hannah assured me that the book "got really good" around chapters three and four so the next night I again began my quest into the world of Edward and Bella. At 3:45 a.m. I had to force myself to put the book down and go to sleep. Dreams of Edward Cullen ensued, course. I awoke the next morning and knew I must email Hannah and tell her how much in love with the book (and yes, Edward) I was. Not only is the book brilliantly written but the characters are real and moving. Edward and Bella pulled me into their world not only as characters but with their feelings. I could see the looks Edward gave Bella and I could I feel Bella's emotions. I was falling in love with Edward just as she ... the lamb to the lion. I finished Twilight the next night and was greatly saddened to see the book come to end. I wanted more. I'd been drawn into this amazing world in Forks, Washington and I wanted nothing more than to walk outside and feel the misting rain as I walked to get into a silver Volvo with a beautiful, unnerving, bronze-haired vampire. This is by far not a "teen" book, insofar as, any age could easily fall in love with not only Edward, but with Bella, Forks and the story they all create. It is not filled with the normal gory images of bloodlust that most vampire novels are; on the contray, this book was elegant in its descriptions of Edward's want for Bella. Twilight is a must read ... and one that you will deem readable many times over.

I had long resisted purchasing Twilight due to my aversion to "vampire stories" (obviously Anne Rice is not among my favorite authors). Its' YA classification was another element that made the prospect of reading this book less than appealing. How very wrong I was! Stephanie Meyers has given her readers a multi-faceted, multi-layered book that most everyone can relate to. Through her female protagonist, Bella, she draws us back to our teens and the trepidation that filled us as we faced our first days at a new school, the all consuming fear of rejection by other students as we questioned our ability to make new friends, and the angst we felt as we experienced the confusing, bitter-sweet pangs of first love. Set in the gloomy Pacific Northwest town of Forks, Washington the tale has, on one hand, a gothic, otherworldly feel to it while at the same time possessing a very "now" vibe. The Cullens, a family of vampires that definitely belong on the pages of GQ or Elle magazine are, for the most part, more captivating and alluring than terrifying and loathsome . Bella's love is Edward Cullen, a chivalrous and loving Adonis who would make any girl long for a "vampire hickey" but who refuses to "turn" Bella because of his great love for her. Accepting the fact that Twilight is fantasy (not much different than the Nancy Drew series of my youth ...... how many teen-ager girls do you know who are repeatedly called upon to provide the solution to a case that has the local police stymied), I tried not to be too analytical. I put aside the fact that although Edward appeared to be a 17 year old high school student, he had in reality been around since his "death" about 90 years earlier and would be old enough to be Bella's great grandfather. Who needs reality....I get enough of that in my daily life. Suffice to say, this book has enough romance to satisfy the female readers of this saga (both young and old), enough action to keep young male readers enthralled and enough restraint being exercised by the devoted couple to win the approval of any parent. No real spoilers in this review, only the hearty recommendation of a chagrined and once sceptical reader who is now a Stephanie Meyer convert.

My 13 year old absolutely loves this whole series and Twilight in particular. She and most of her friends are very excited that Twilight - the movie is being filmed in Portland, Oregon (home of Powell's City of Books) right now (March 2008). Somehow, author Meyer has been able to write a story about vampires that isn't scary enough to enduce nightmares, yet is a page turner from beginning to end for a generation used to immediacy.

A story about a clumsy girl moving to a small town in Washington state with her father, where the sun hardly ever shines. Bad news for an LA girl. However she finds a new reason to stay when she falls hoplessly in love with a vampire who wants to kill her. What luck huh? But now she has other problems, being exposed to other vamps forces her to make decisions that may change things forever. A great read for those with an imagination and a soft spot for teenage vampire love.

I thought this book was great... not my favorite though. i did have really high expectations for it. it was Meyers first book, and it made the NY best seller list. It was good enough for five stars, i loved Edward, not so much Bella though, i thought her character wasn't that likeable. but the thing that really annoyed me, was that i bought the second book when i bought the first one. and i really dont feal like reading the second. i could do without. Over all it was a good book. It just didn't meet my expectations. but i'll give it five starts anyway...

Human. you would think this book is anything but, thats what i thought when i first heard about twilight. After i finished it though it seemed more human than anything i had ever read. Okay okay, i know what your thinking "its a book about vampires how could that be human". yes it does have vampires in it but it has much much more than that. it shows stuggles people have to face. excluding the fact that she's almost killed by a hunter people fall in love even though its not always the best thing. people want what is forbidden. i give this book two thumbs up for being the most humanistic, supernateral, real, fantasy novel i have ever read. Oh and it doesnt hurt that edward is DAMN FINE!

"Twilight" is not, by far, the best book ever written. Edward Cullen is a big piece of cardboard who spouts nothing but perfection in each and every way. Bella is so terribly awkward in a way that makes the reader uncomfortable. Hello? Characters are not supposed to be perfect; they're meant to be relatable. In addition to extreme lack of good characterization, "Twilight" boasts a plot that is formulaic, cliche, and not original in the slightest. You would think that someone who has a degree in English literature from BYU (Stephenie Meyer) would be able to write a book that has a single ounce of creative and unique spark in it.

wow, it's I can say...WOW, this book is amazing, it is a masterpice, Twilight is one of the best books that I have read, and I read a lot, it is thrilling, yet romantic, dark, yet beautiful...it is amazing, a fusion between love, mystery, fantasy and action, it is a masterpice, congratulations Stephanie Meyer.

This is the kind of book to keep you up at night with a flashlight in your hand and your covers over you. It looks at vampires at a different point of view. It doesn't make them look like some cheesy-Hollywood vampire that sleeps in a coffin and gets burned by the sun. This romantic thriller will keep you reading it non-stop. Stephenie Meyer really did her magic on this book.

This book is amazing. I'm so tired of vampires being protrayed as cheesy romantic Anne Rice clones. Edward, the main vampire of the story, is thankfully not so even though he's a romantic lead. The plot was fun, if not entirely original, and left me clamoring for more.

This is an amazing book about an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances. Bella has just moved to Forks and is more than a little intriged by the Cullen family. This simple premise sets up the entire plot line to be suspensful and whimsical.

Oh my god. i never thought that a book could make me feel the way i felt when i read Twilight. Twilight is the best book i have ever read. It is filled with romance, passion, suspense, but at the same time HORROR. I have never felt in love with a guy as much as i am with Edward. He is the vampire that every girl wants. i cant wait to read New Moon.

As an adult, reading books from the 'young adult' section is not something I normally do. But this book was given to me as a Christmas present, being in between books at the time; I hesitantly picked it up. I am glad that I did, this book was a fun read, I knew what was coming, but in a book written for this age group, it would be impossible not to know. Predictable or not the book was funny and well written and it really did pull me in. (There is a good reason I bought the sequel in hardback) This book did not change my life, or keep me up at night; but the author is talented and it was worth the time to read it. Pick it up, you never know.

I came across this book by chance, read a few pages and became straight away attached! The book being so thick at fisrt seem like a pain to have to read so much, but the story line is so well writen you wish the writer would have made the book twice as thick! Stephenie Meyer is now my favorite author of all time, I can't wait to find out what's next for this thrilling adventure.

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!! STephanie Meyer is a genius, she clearly understands how to grab the attention of teenagers, she has inspired me to go out and beyond and take risks! Bella is a very interesting character and I am jealous of her for having Edward!

this is the best book i have ever read. when i first began reading, i thought no one else knew about it. then i saw a flyer on the school coke machine for a book club meeting and of course there were only girls there. but we have a lot of fun. we even went to the stephenie meyer signing at green hills. but it has helped me get through a lot in the last couple months (i.e. getting expelled, a breakup, an ended friendship). thanks, stephenie meyer

This is most definetly my favorite book of all time. Edward is truly captivating and Bella, the all American girl with an unatural twist. This book and it's sequel, New Moon, will steal your heart and take it on a journey you'll replay on a hourly basis. You don't know love unitl you know the story of Bella and her Edward.

Stephenie Meyer is an excellent book writer! I have read many great books but Twilight tops them all! The many moments that Edward and Bella face keep playing through my head over and over like a broken Record. The minute I read that last page I was on the internet looking to see if there was a sequel. I have never read such a more suspenseful and thrilling Novel!

Stephanie Meyer is extremely talented, and this book just about boasts it all. Twilight is an amazing book, filled with suspense and romance, that leads to an ending that leaves you breathlessly awaiting the sequal. I've reread this book about 30 times (I'm not exaggerating), and I'm still not bored of it. Twilight has been on my top book list since it came out, and still no book has been able to top it. I've given this book out to my best friends, and everytime one of them gave it back to me, I got the same response: "I wish IIII was a vampire! Why can't Edward be real?" This book is truly stunning. Go buy it :D

I first saw Twilight in the new teen reads at the library. I thought the cover looked really cool, so I opened the cover and read what it was about. That is when it started. I got sucked into the book and couldn't put it down until it was finished. This book was an emotional rollercoster for me. It was funny, cute, romance, suspence, drama all in one book. I loved how Bella's first thought was about him in thier Biology class together. This is my al time favorite book. I can't wait to read the sequal.

Twilight is one of my favorite books in the entire world as of today. My first favorite book was Harry Potter and while Harry will always be in my heart as #1, i have to admit Twilight has squezzed itself a place too. Bellas character, while not perfect, not to mention a little clumsy, makes her even more irrisistable towards her readers. She is incredible, and i cant stop thinking about her thoughts and feelings, especially towards Edward. Edward in his unnatural beauty, makes him and Bella a perfect match, and makes me fall more in love with the couple. In fact when i found out Twilight was coming out with a second book I ran (literally) towards my book store and grabbed it off the shelves. New Moon, is just as good as the first...
