Intended for both business people and technologists, the book reviews core SOA technologies and uncovers the critical human factors involved in deploying them. - Rapid integration with partners
- Effective BPM and real time management
- How to design, develop, run, and secure an SOA
- Real-world SOA deployment scenarios
The promise of SOA is to simplify and lower the cost of IT, and enhance the agility of business processes. But the development and deployment of an SOA has proven to be complex, and the return on investment is often not readily apparent.
"Understanding Enterprise SOA focuses on the issues that are important in realizing that return on investment. Using an easily understandable running example of an insurance company that incorporates cases that have actually occurred in real companies, the book shows how to plan and execute an SOA to provide cost savings and solutions. Written for technologists who want the big picture, as well as business managers and other non-technologists, the book summarizes valuable experience gained so far in implementing SOAs.
