Synopsis
This CD-ROM explores the richness and variety of the Viking world through two remarkable projects: Sagas and Sums and The World of the Vikings. Sagas and Sums is a Viking adventure that takes your pupils on a journey back through time and transports them to the year 900 AD. Five sagas build up to a complete story about Erik's journey to his new home in England and his subsequent life here. What children learn through the sagas can then be compared with what they unearth in a fascinating, virtual archaeological dig. The World of the Vikings offers twelve, themed evidence boxes, a research database with over 3600 images and over 20 minutes of original video, making it an unparalleled and essential resource for KS2 history and project work. A full set of teacher's notes and worksheets are included with the CD-ROM.
