Growing up in a small village in Kenya,
Wangari is accustomed to being surrounded
by lush green lands. Wangari leaves Kenya,
and upon her return, is alarmed at the rapid
deforestation taking over her small village.
She begins planting trees and encourages
other women in her village to do the same.
This vivid account of the life of the 2004 Nobel
Peace Prize winner, Wangari Maathai who
dedicated her life to preserving the African
rainforest, is truly inspirational, and will show
