Water is rapidly becoming the crisis area that most directly affects all Australians. Water: Histories, Cultures, Ecologies provides a multidisciplinary exploration of issues relating to water and its management. The book was developed following a successful international symposium held at the University of Western Australia, where participants from government and various academic disciplines examined case studies from around the world. Contributors include the Chief Scientists of Israel, the Chairman of the Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority, and scholars in ecology, history, anthropology, geography, history, limnology, Indigenous studies, and political economy.
