About the Author
Sue Monk Kidd is the award-winning author of books including When the Heart Waitsand God's Joyful Surprise,as well as The Secret Life of Bees.She is the recipient of a 1993 Katherine Annne Porter Fiction Award, the 1993-1994 South Carolina Literary Fellowship in Fiction, and the 1996 South Carolina Academy of Authors Fellowship. She has taught creative writing and spoken on women's spirituality across the country.
