Synopsis
This book is a first-run primer of building HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript applications for Windows 8. The approach is that of teaching someone who already has some programming skill (read: current .NET devs) how to dust off their aging HTML skillset and make working Windows8 apps.
As shown in the TOC, the book will take a three part approach. First, the overall design principles of MetroUI (the new design paradigm for Windows) will be discussed. Then there will be a section on visual design with HTML and CSS, which are the visual design languages to bring MetroUI applications to the screen. Finally there will be a section on using JavaScript for inter and intrafunctional components of the Windows 8 applications.
A website will contain all the sample code.
