About the Author
Jeanne Powell earned degrees at WSU in Detroit and USF in San Francisco. She is the author of two books of prose poems published by Taurean Horn Books in 2013, MY OWN SILENCE and WORD DANCING, and a collection of her essays will be published in 2014. Her poetry and essays appear on several web sites. For ten years she hosted a weekly spoken word series.
