As in the Hogan style, she creates characters that teach us about history as it is played out in people's lives. Honest, bold, sensitive and wise.

Once you start the journey, you will not be able to set this book down. Every teenage girl and mom should read and discuss this book.

This is a wonderful story! Linda Hogan takes you through the life of young Angel Wing in a very unique style, starting somewhere in the middle of her life and bringing in just enough of the past to keep you reading. Not only does this novel shed a different light on the coming-of-age story but it also highlights the importance of the relationship between man and nature.
