This book is inspiring.
I had to read it for Spanish class so we could compare and contrast the book from our culture. I picked it up thinking you know this would be ok, but it turns out it was an inspiring story.
It makes me believe that if Juanico could overcome everything and still be a painter I can too.
Then what made me extremely happy was I found out the Don Diego Velaquez is a real painter. I looked up his paintings to see if me and my friend could put them on a project we are doing for the book and the were GORGEOUS.!!!
If you have not had a chance to read it then you really should. It will change your perspective over everything.
